This place is amazing! The service is fantastic and the food is so delicious. I got the Burn it bowl and the pablano gravy was creamy and had just the right amount of heat.
The food was extremely fresh and extremely tasty! Both types of fish, Cat and Cod, were devoured. Loved the Fried Gizzards and Fried Green Tomatoes! Complimentary birthday dessert for two... very good banana pudding! Awesome vibe! Our waitress was outstanding! Love her!!!!
Great food and service by our server Andrew. Would have liked if they had sound on for football game or we would have stayed longer. Also miss the live music here they used to have. Bring back!

Let’s put it this way… as a vegetarian of 10 years who hasn’t eaten even a tiny piece of meat, I ate a tiny lil piece of chicken and it was incredible. Also, the cornbread muffins are fire. Extremely quick service.
I tried fried chicken liver for the first time. I'm not a fan, but my bf loved it. It's like seafood flavored chicken to me. The fried chicken sandwich was good and we liked the hot sauce they had on the table.
It's our last day in Texas and we were walking around Congress Ave and found this place. The food was incredible and the service was fantastic! Lindy took great care of us and was awesome! Now we got a great place to come back to next time we visit. If you're near Austin and want some great fried food you have to come here! I would highly recommend!
I had the deep fried deviled eggs and deep fried boudin balls! OMG! I really wanted chicken, but after some oysters, and the apps, I was stuffed! Greatest happy hour ever! Great atmosphere, and the company was...south Austin! Love it!
Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Nice and crispy, and juicy..we also got some fries and some fried gizzards and they were really good as well!
